There will be a new team contesting full-season the 2025 International GT Open: Tsunami RT. The well-known squad racing under Sanmarinese licence has been expanding its activity in GT3 racing in recent years, competing in Asian LMS, GT World and the 24 Hour Series.
Tsunami RT already tasted the waters in the GT Open last year, taking part in the Red Bull Ring, and is now ready for a full campaign with its Porsche 911 GT3 R, which will be entrusted to its regular Italian duo composed of GT star Fabio Babini and Johannes Zelger.
The team is working to field a second car, with conversations with sponsors and drivers undergoing. The squad will remain a faithful contender also in GT Sport’s junior GT series, the GT Cup Europe, where it has been present for years.
Team principal Valerio Maria Speziali commented: “We are incredibly excited to kick off the 2025 Gt Open season and make our full season debut with our Porsche 911 GT3 R #79. It’s a big step for us as a team and we’re confident in the package we’ve put together. The pace we showed during the spot race, back in RBR 2024 gives us great motivation! The entire team has been working tirelessly to prepare for this challenge and we can’t wait to start the season!”
