Tom Emson takes maiden pole as the Elite Ferrari seeks for revenge

Tom Emson took pole position, his first personal one,  ahead of Race 2 at the Hungaroring in the Elite Motorsport Ferrari 296. In a cooler morning and under an overcast skies, the Brit signed the fastest lap in 1.42.113, beating in a final duel the Motopark Mercedes of Dominik Baumann by 0s112.

After a difficult Saturday, which ended late for the mechanics who had to change the engine, the championship leading yellow Ferrari will have a good chance to correct the situation. “It’s nice to bounce back after yesterday’s issues”, said Emsen.

In row 2 will be Filip Salaquarda (ISR Racing Audi), who also led the session for a while and finished 0s322 from the top, and Zac Meakin (Greystone GT McLaren, +0s344).

In row 3 will be the two Mercedes of Yannick Mettler (CBRX by SPS, +0s355) and Christian Mansell (Motopark, +0s410).

Krystian Korzeniowski was the fastest in Am. He will race alone in the Olimp Racing Ferrari, as Stanislaw Jedlinski is feeling unwell.
