The Elite Motorsport Ferrari 296 GT3 kept the momentum of yesterday’s win in Race 1 and will start from pole position in Race 2 later today. Tom Lebbon dominated the qualifying session and posted a best lap time of 1.31.304 which meant pole. “We have a very good pace this weekend and were able to take it from yesterday’s form”, said Lebbon.
In an all-Ferrari duel, the yellow 296 beat the red AF Corse car of Tommaso Mosca by 0s323. In row 2 will be the two Mercedes AMG of Yannick Mettler (CBRX by SPS, +0s377) and Maxi Götz (Motopark, +0s386), while in third will be Alexander Fach in the Fach Auto Tech Porsch (+0s392) and the Greystone GT McLaren of Zac Meakin (+0s465).
Krystian Korzenowski (Olimp Racing Ferrari) was once again fastest in Am and 14th overall. To be noted, Anthony Bartone will drive alone in the GetSpeed Mercedes, as Fabian Schiller is feeling unwell.
