The Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli welcomed the International GT Open for the first time in a day of free practice with typical humid weather of late Spring, as rain and sunshine alternated. Both sessions were affected with the morning one taking place on a drying track and the afternoon starting in the dry before the return of rain.
Eventually, it was the Saintéloc Racing Audi of Michaël Blancheman and Jim Pla posted the best lap time (1.33.286) with the combined results yielding 5 different car brands in the top five and the 15 first cars covered by a second. Closing that top-15 were championship leaders Christian Mansell-Maxi Götz (Motopark Merceedes).
Gaps were therefore minimal with the second-fastest, the AF Corse Ferrari of Laurent de Meeus-Vincent abril only 0.006 seconds behind. Followed the Greystone GT MacLaren of Zac Meakin-Dean Macdonald (+0s130), the ZRS Motorsport Porsche of Pietro Armanni-Alex Fontana (+0s170), and the Motopark Mercedes of Marcelo Ramirez-Dominik Baumann (+0s295).
In sixth position was the Fach Auto Tech Porsche of Alexander Fach-Lukas Wolf (+0s296), ahead of the CBRX by SPS Mercedes of Dexter Müller-Yannick Mettler (+0s332) and the Olimp Racing Ferrari of Marcin Jedlinski-Karol Basz (+0s393), which was the fastest car in the slower morning session (1.33.659).
Seweryn Mazur (Sendom Racing Lamborghini) was the fastest in Am and 20th overall.
