Grupo Prom Racing Team today announced its presence in the 2026 International GT Open. The Mexican outfit is ready to embark in a second consecutive campaign in the series. Its Mercedes AMG GT3 will sport this year the colours of MANNOL, the successful lubricant manufacturer, which is expanding its involvement in GT Racing.
The car will continue to compete in the Am class with #77, again in the hands of Alfredo Hernández. A top jockey before embracing motor racing, the Mexican finished an excellent fourth in the Am class last year, clinching two podium finishes. Hernández will again drive alone in the standard races and will be associated with Frenchman Stéphane Tribaudini in the two endurance events of Spa and Monza.
Konstantin Gaab, Managing Director of MANNOL / SCT Germany, commented: “The International GT Open offers a very attractive overall package: professional competition, attractive tracks and exciting sprint and endurance formats. At the same time, the series is an ideal opportunity for us to put our brand in the spotlight in key European markets and support our local sales partners. Together with the Grupo Prom Racing team, we want to use this stage to gain valuable experience under racing conditions.”
