There will be another interesting debut at the Monza GT Open 500. Italian squad FAEMS Team by Nova Race will be entering its black-and-yellow BMWW M4 GT3 EVO with a view to a possible full campaign next year.
FAEMS Team, led by Fabio Pampado, is not new in GT Sport paddocks, as it competes in the GT Cup Europe and took both the Drivers’ and Teams’ titles in the series last year. Technical partner Nova Race, directed by Christian Pescatori, is not new in the GT Open either, as it contested selected rounds in the past, notably with Honda machinery.
FAEMS Team by Nova Race is currently competing with good results in the Italian GT Championship, with the pair that will drive the BMW at Monza, composed of Italian young gun Giuseppe Forenzi (20) and Guatemala’s Ian Rodríguez (26), who won the GT Cup title with FAEMS Team last year.
Fabio Pampado, head of FAEMS Team, commented: “We are excited about this one-off. The objective is to do exactly what we have done in the GT Cup, taste the waters before embarking on a possible GT Open full campaign in 2027. It’s a further step up, but together with Nova Race, we have an excellent package, and Giuseppe and Ian are two young drivers who are doing very well in the Italian GT this year.”
